### All You Need to Know About the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024

The ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies from June 1-29, featuring a record 20 teams.
**Format:**
- **First Stage:** The 20 teams are divided into four groups of five. Each team plays four matches against the other teams in their group.
- **Super 8s Stage:** The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 8s, while the bottom three teams are eliminated. The remaining eight teams are split into two groups of four. Each team plays three matches against their new group members.
- **Semi-Finals:** The top two teams from each Super 8s group move on to the semi-finals.
- **Final:** The winners of the semi-finals will compete in the final, scheduled to take place in Barbados on June 29.
### Venues
The tournament will be held across three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean. Sixteen matches will take place in Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York, including the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match at the new Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island on June 9.
In the Caribbean, 41 matches will be spread across six nations. The semi-finals will be held in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana, with the final match set for Barbados on June 29.

### Squads
Most teams have announced preliminary squads for the T20 World Cup. Teams can make unlimited changes to their 15-player rosters up until May 25. After this date, any modifications will need approval from the ICC's Event Technical Committee.

### Specific Conditions for T20 World Cup
In the event of a tie, a Super Over will be played to determine the winner. If the Super Over also ends in a tie, additional Super Overs will be played until a winner is decided.
To ensure all knockout matches are completed, additional time has been allocated for the semi-finals and final stages.
- **Semi-Finals:** Each semi-final has 250 minutes of additional time available. The first semi-final on June 26 will have 60 extra minutes at the end of the day's play, with another 190 minutes available on June 27. The second semi-final on June 27 has 250 extra minutes on the same day.
- **Final:** The final on June 29 also has a reserve day scheduled for June 30 to ensure the match is completed.
### Prize Money
The prize money for the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup has not yet been finalized.
### Warm-up Fixtures
A total of 17 teams will participate in warm-up fixtures between May 27 and June 1. South Africa is set to play an intra-squad match in Florida on May 29. These 20-over matches will not have T20I status, allowing teams to field all 15 members of their squads.
